Mrs Carmee Lim
Board Chairman

Mrs Carmee Lim is a firm believer in music and movement being an integral part of brain development and vitality. With a B Sc. M Ed (Early Childhood Education), her career includes being Principal of Raffles Girls School and the Founder of Aoede Music Enterprise. She is a champion of using technology to enable access to music and education for all. She sits on the board of many organisations.

Ms Michelle Lee
Founder & CEO

Ms Michelle Lee founded I’m Soul Inc when she stumbled upon the healing power of music and movement, and how technology can democratize access to all. She recalled how her father withered from loneliness after being half-paralysed by a stroke, and how she herself was burnt out and had a cancer scare. She founded I’m Soul Inc with the mission to reach out and uplift those like her father who are vulnerable and cannot access music and movement the conventional way. Tapping years of corporate experience as publisher, educator and strategist where she has led many large-scale transformative projects, she developed and ground-tested the innovative Music Making programmes and

Ms Lee holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, Canada where she was the only Asian woman in her class of 60 and a degree in business from Victoria University, Wellington. Outside work, she is enjoying her first grandchild, loves nature and walks, and reading about holistic health and movies.

Dr Jean Liu
Board Member

Dr Jean Liu is the founder of Insights Bridge Consultancy, adjunct Assistant Professor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and researcher at the National Gallery. She has published 33 research papers focused largely on the intersection of health and technology, and has taught tertiary-level courses on well-being and on health psychology.

In recognition of her expertise, Dr Liu has served as consultant to the World Health Organization, assisting with the roll-out of a new mental health framework for the Western Pacific Region. She is also a Council Member for the Agency for Care Effectiveness, was part of the expert subgroup contributing to the national guidance on screen use, and was formerly an assistant professor of psychology at Yale-NUS.

Outside these academic roles, Dr Liu enjoys playing the piano and watches dance performances.

Ms Junus Eu
Board Member

Junus Eu is a venture capitalist turned gerontologist. She has been investing in technology companies in US, India and South-Asia since 2011. She recently attained her Masters in Gerontology at the Singapore University of Social Sciences and is a recipient of the Alice Lim Memorial scholarship. Her research explores the importance of financial gerontology and weight training in preparing for longer life spans.

On the side, she hosts the Building Financial Fitness Podcast where she talks about personal finance and the psychology of money.

Mr Ravidran Markandu
Board Member

Ravidran Markandu, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1976 and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. His previous employments include Group Financial Controller of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd., and Grand Central Investment Holdings plc (listed on the London Stock Exchange), Executive Director, Malaysian Operations. He has also successfully got Bright Packaging listed on the Malaysian Bursa in 1995.

Since 2007, Ravi has served on the board of several companies, not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises whilst maintaining active participation in his profession - the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Malaysia City Group and the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Outside work, he enjoys working in his garden with his wife.

Dr Larry Yee
Director of Strategy

Dr Larry Yee has been actively involved in I’m Soul Inc since 2020. In Dec 2023, he took on the role of Director of Strategy to help bring our social enterprise to new heights and across the world. Trained as a skin cancer surgeon, he saw the need for a Social Prescription to improve health and holistic well-being, beyond medical prescription, and was touched by the way I’m Soul Inc used the healing power of music and movement to uplift lives and engage communities, especially in this fast ageing world.

A strong believer in social equality, Dr Yee has helped set up multiple clinics in NSW Australia for more than 15 years to provide much needed skin cancer surgery services to socially disadvantaged rural communities. Larry completed his Leadership in Impact investment studies at Oxford University in 2015 and has since been actively engaged in this area of solving social inequality issues with the impact investment model. Since 2018, Larry has engaged with Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) as a Panel Mentor, is on the Advisory Panel for Karma Health; an Indian based social enterprise which aims to provide tele- medicine primary health service access in rural India.

Larry holds a MBBS by the University of Adelaide and Master of Medicine by the University of Sydney.

Ms Carollyne Tong
Head, Business Development & Implementation

Carollyne Tong joined I’m Soul Inc because the social enterprise offers a place where her passion for music and social impact converges. She is an entrepreneur, public speaker and author. She co-founded a ketogenic online F&B business and played a pivotal role in establishing three spa and massage centres.  As an author, in her debut book “Soaring High”, she delves into the transformative journey of self-discovery, inspiring readers on the importance of recognizing one's inherent worth and value.

For 6 years, she was caregiver to her parents who both had cancer. With her parents’ passing in 2021, she channelled her passion towards meaningful causes, dedicating herself to providing hope, joy, comfort and support to the sick, needy, and vulnerable individuals, embodying a compassionate commitment to improving lives. Her passion for music runs deep, having served as a music teacher at the Yamaha Music School in the 90s.  During her leisure hours, she finds joy in family life, loves to travel, and indulges in the magic of movies.

Carollyne holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Technology Sydney, a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Tasmania, and a Bachelor of Theology from the Christian Life School of Theology Global. She is also a WSQ ACLP Certified Trainer from IAL and an International Certified Professional Trainer and Certified Health Coach from IPMA.
