Mr Gee & His Daughter
Making Music with People of ALL Abilities
Mr Gee Say Suan 78 is the main caregiver for his daughter Juliet 50 since his wife passed away 20 years ago. Juliet has disabilities and suffer from fits. Mr Gee hoped that Juliet could join him and perform at Singapore’s 1st Inclusive Countdown. Many were concerned: “What if she has a fit? She would spoil the performance”.
Impact
We reminded everyone of the spirit of the event. We assured them with our experience. We included Juliet. Father and daughter could perform together and we brought them much joy. Everyone was inspired. Our group of 10 grew to 30. Even the Member of Parliament joined in. On 31 Dec 2016, MAGIC (Multi-Abilities and Generations Inclusive Communities) was in action @Keat Hong Community Centre.
